Barnes joined insurance broking firm Lloyd Thompson in 1983, and today Jardine Lloyd Thompson is a leading risk management adviser and insurance and reinsurance broker. JLT is also a major provider of employee benefit administration services and related consultancy advice.

London based Andrew Barnes has been rallying for over 10 years and has scored many podium and class victories on International and British events. This year he will return to driving a World Rally Car and will be piloting a Subaru Impreza S9 on four rounds of the BTRDA Rally Championship and the Tempest Rally in November. Calvin Cooledge will be returning to the co-drivers seat and the experienced crew are looking forward to the challenges ahead.

The crews first outing will be the Wyedean Rally on 11th February followed by Somerset Stages (21st April), Dukeries Rally (9th June), Cambrian Rally (20th October) and Tempest Rally (3rd November). Once again their will be rivalry between Barnes and his team-mate John Lloyd as to who will set the quickest time over the forestry stages.
