Barnes joined insurance broking firm Lloyd Thompson in 1983, and today Jardine Lloyd Thompson is a leading risk management adviser and insurance and reinsurance broker. JLT is also a major provider of employee benefit administration services and related consultancy advice.

Andrew Barnes co-driven by Guy Simmons finished the 2009 season recording their best result in the UK when they took second overall on the Tempest Rally based in Aldershot. The crew are now looking forward to the coming season and will work on the experience gained from last year to up their pace during 2010. The Ford Focus WRC will be prepared and managed on event by BTR.
