London based John Lloyd, Chairman and Chief Executive of Lloyd and Partners will be supported in the 2008 BTRDA and Pirelli MSA Gravel Rally Championship by Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT).
Lloyd co-founded insurance broking firm Lloyd Thompson in 1981, and today Jardine Lloyd Thompson is a leading risk management adviser and insurance and reinsurance broker. JLT is also a major provider of employee benefit administration services and related consultancy advice.
Lloyd was born in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and grew up in Mombasa, Kenya. This year Lloyd will be returning to the BTRDA and Pirelli MSA Gravel Rally Championship. 2007 was rewarded with a finish on all events entered in the Geoff Jones prepared Ford Focus WRC. This year Lloyd is hoping for his first outright victory in the British series. Adrian Cavenagh who has co-driven for Lloyd on African events will be joining him on selected rallies. Having had a disappointing finish on the East African Safari Classic, the crew have entered Easter's traditional Safari Rally based in Nairobi driving a Mitsubishi Evo 8 owned by Glen Edmunds. Regular partner Pauline Gullick will be back in the co-drivers seat for the crews attack on the British series.
