The two JLTRally Ford Focus WRC's were in action on Saturday 15th May in the Welsh forest competing on the Plains Rally based in Welshpool.

After two competitive stages all hopes of a good finish faltered for Andrew Barnes and Guy Simmons when they experienced problems with a broken fly by wire losing over four minutes on stage 3. This did not stop the personal battle for stage honours between Barnes and team-mate John Lloyd. Both crews were trading top ten stage times. "The stages were brilliant, great weather and fine organisation - a very good rally", said John Lloyd who finished in 11th place and is now lying 8th overall in the BTRDA Championship with Andrew Barnes in 12th place.

Andy Burton's Peugeot Cosworth won the event with BTR team-mate Steve Perez finishing second overall.

The teams next outing is the Dukeries Rally based in Newark on Saturday 12th June
