Bjorn Waldegard and JLT rally team co-driver Pauline Gullick will be driving a Tuthill Porsche on this weekend's Colin McRae Stages Rally based in Perth. The car will be carrying the livery of Jardine Lloyd Thompson.
"This is a unique festival of rallying in tribute to Colin. I competed on the Colin McRae Stages Rally on numerous occasions with John Lloyd when the event was led by Colin who either drove course car or competed competitively. This one off tribute rally has attracted five former World Rally Champions, four British and three American Champions.
Bus loads are expected from Ireland and cavalcades from England for this unique festival of rallying. I have also heard of fans travelling from Austria and Newfoundland This will certainly be a very special weekend in the history of World Rallying. The event qualifies for the Scottish Rally Championship however the field will be led by the fifteen invited drivers all driving Historic Rally cars. Bjorn won the World Rally Championship in 1979 and we are both looking forward to this weekend", said Pauline Gullick.
