It was flat out from the start for John Lloyd and Andrew Barnes driving their Ford Focus World Rally Cars on Saturday's Dukeries Rally (14th June 2008). The 45 stage mile event used the Sherwood Forest area of Nottinghamshire.
John Lloyd and co-driver Adrian Cavenagh recorded six top four placings on the ten stages finishing sixth overall. If it had not been for losing time after a spin on stage 5 they would have finished higher up the leader board. Lloyd was very pleased with his performance and is now lying sixth overall in the BTRDA Rally Championship.
It is four months since Andrew Barnes rallied and reunited with former co-driver Calvin Cooledge they were hard on the heels of Lloyd finishing in eighth place, this is Barnes best rally result in the UK.
The event was won by Dave Weston driving a Ford Focus WRC.
